Venezuela and Vietnam have deepened cooperation in energy and construction

According to the BNAmericas website, Venezuela's state broadcaster and Venezuelan Television (VTV) released information that the country is expanding trade relations with Vietnam under agreements signed in April in sectors such as energy and construction.

Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez met with Vietnam's ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My in Caracas to discuss deepening trade cooperation between the two countries.

VTV reported that officials from both countries stressed the need to deepen economic cooperation, focusing on projects that can benefit national development.

The talks also included the formation of joint ventures in oil and gas and construction, indicating the potential for growth in these important sectors.

Although no specific details were disclosed, the two countries have previously revealed a number of initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.

These include the establishment of joint ventures in glass production and several cooperative programs in agricultural development, especially training and research in the field of science and technology.

Separately, the national oil companies of the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding in April to develop petrochemical projects, which is said to be important for their economic strategies.

There is also an agreement to promote the development of the telecommunications sector, and Vietnam will further participate in the construction of infrastructure in Venezuela.
